A Family in the Aftermath
The Jahn family has been profoundly impacted by the tragedy. Sharon Jahn was described as distraught and unable to speak when contacted shortly after the event. Their older son, Noah Jahn, informed the media that he had been “back and forth with the police” during the unfolding investigation.
He expressed disbelief over his brother’s actions, saying Joshua was not politically engaged and, to his knowledge, did not hold strong opinions about ICE.
A Mother’s Past Comments Surface
Old Facebook posts by Sharon Jahn have resurfaced online, revealing her strong anti-gun stance. In posts from May 2022, she openly criticized Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn for supporting gun rights after the Uvalde school shooting.
These posts have ignited online discussions about whether they may have influenced her son.
