Peaceful Retreat
Welcome to my first real decor scene blog! I have been meaning this type of blog for a long time. I love decorating my own scenes, so I figured I would spare you my face and body for once and emphasize the wonderful creations available in Second Life! I am particularly in love with this scene since I really love “old world” and vintage furniture. I find vintage furniture to have a special “aura”, and character. They invite you into the room and make you feel comfortable. I know I speak about them as if they were alive, but honestly, with the history they carry, I wouldn’t be surprised if they were!
So today, I am featuring, in my opinion, one of the best vintage furniture designers in SL: DRD. When I first came on the grid, I thought they only did “dark” items and never really paid attention or visited the store. One afternoon, a friend wanted to go buy a pair of boots and brought me with her…and that is when I started my relationship with DRD. And it is an amazing one!
While visiting The Outlet on the SeraSim, DRD had this wonderful bed and cupboard in this aqua color. Well, I fell in love. There is just something so romantic about this set. The set also included the 3 mannequins and the elegant vases you see next to the cage lamp.
